Four Important Notice for Safety Riding

Motorized safety campaign often touted by many parties, along with the increasing accidents of motorcyclists on the road. However, understanding of the 'safety riding' limited to the use of fittings driving. Like five fixtures absolute, ie helmet, gloves, jacket, pants, and shoes that cover the ankles. It seemed the riders have always known that, although still much to ignore. So what next?

According to Henry Aldea, safety riding instructor fostered by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) of Power Mustika Adicipta who became a national champion in 2013 driving safety, there are at least four basic tips that should also be considered, understood and implemented. Here are the details.

1. See the situation
Tip this one sounds very simple. Bikers, shall turn his head to the right and slightly to the rear, before the vehicle drove. "It is important to avoid rear-end collisions. We must first make sure that no other vehicle drove behind us, when we will begin to drive," Aldea said.

The view was also what happens when dozens of instructors from a number of countries Stunt riding a motorcycle collided at Suzuka Circuit, Japan, Thursday (14/11/2013). The whole race instructor who always turned his head towards the back right before they ride the bike accelerates. In fact, in the arena no other vehicles to follow. "It must be a habit, for the sake of our salvation. Everyone should get used to," said Aldea.

2. Lower Left Leg
Not many motorists who understand that time will stop or crawling in a traffic jam, they should lower left leg, and right leg instead. "Traffic in our country are run in the left lane, require us to lower the left leg while stopping the vehicle. It is important that our feet are protected from the blow of another vehicle on the right side," said instructor from Bandung.

Again, these examples are shown in the test competitions. The participants slalom test, and braking (braking) is always first set foot left, as they arrive at the finish line.

3. When turned Turn or at crossroads
Obliged to turn his head when the rider is in the intersection or corner, before the vehicle drove back. "Mandatory law, slow down the vehicle, look left and right, if it will turn," he said.

So, what's the point view mirror? According Aldea, mirrors have limitations in reaching views. "There are blind spots in the rear view mirror, when cornering or turning, there is a point that is not visible in the rearview mirror, so we must turn," Aldea said.

4. Defensive style
This step is it hard to do on a motorcycle in a big city, let alone the time and the speed becomes important. "But how well, the main safety, attitude greatly affects us in the way of our salvation. So be defensive and not aggressive. Ensure all safe," he said.

According Aldea, the principle of safety riding nobody mentioned that driving safely should be slow. "Driving safely should not slow. But it must satisfy the elements had, understand the situation and environment, before taking a decision," he concluded.
