British Operate Freight Cars Without Driver in 2015


Car without driver will be found not only in the mode of personal transportation . England , two years from now , will operate Pod , public transport car without a driver . According to Mashable , Wednesday, November 13, 2013 Pod will be operated in Milton Keynes , Buckinghamshire town , 72 kilometers north-west of London . In 2015 , Milton Keynes will operate 20 Pod .

According to the Minister of Enterprise and Innovation UK , Vince Cable , Pod can carry two people with a maximum speed of 19 kilometers per hour . This car can explore a variety of terrain and road pavement . To avoid collisions , use sensors , HD cameras , and GPS . Pod equipped entertainment screen that can be used to access the Internet , listen to music, and more .

Projects worth nearly U.S. $ 3 billion of this will be developed into 100 Pod in 2017 . The British government has not display the detailed specification Pod car . However, users can reportedly ordered the use of Pod through a smartphone application . The first route is to be tested from the train station to the shopping center . The usual time in the s foot is 20 minutes . For one-way with the Pod , the user will be charged the cost of 2 pounds sterling , or about USD 35 thousand .

This is not the first vehicle without a driver in the UK . At London's Heathrow Airport taxi without a driver already exists with a capacity of 4 people . Nissan factory overhaul even electric cars , LEAF , being without a driver . This car has been in operation in Oxford .
