Toyota Prepares Camry 2018
When the new Honda released a sketch Accord, Toyota America is preparing to launch a new generation of Camry 2018. Best-selling sedan in the United States (US) for 15 years is scheduled to be marketed late summer.
The eighth generation of the Camry comes with a modular platform Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). Its chassis structure will be slightly stiffer to 30 percent which impact on improvements in suspension performance, TNGA is also used by Prius and C-HR.
Due to the use of the TNGA platform, the dimensions of the Camry 2018 wheelbase also rose 1.9 inches compared to the previous model. The effect would make the cabin space a little more roomy.
Toyota will use a capacity of 2,500 cc engine with two types of options, namely VVT-i with VVT-iE-powered 206 tk, and hybrids that can discharge 176 tk power. For consumers of speed lovers can choose the version of 3,500 cc V6-powered 301 tk that uses the new eight-speed automatic transmission system, and CVT for hybrids.
Toyota claims that for the hybrid version offers the best efficiency side in its class. Hybrid engine was also updated using the new Power Control Unit, including revisions to Auto Glide Control feature that is useful to limit the braking according to driving conditions.
