Latest of Toyota FJ-Series Has Got Name
First introduced in the event the New York Auto Show 2017, Toyota FT-4X concept crossover seems to have prepared the production version. In fact, Toyota has been stunned to register his name in the patent office.
Quoting from Autoguide, Tuesday (5/31/2017) Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) filed a trademark for the name TJ Cruiser, to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for use on cars and structural parts.
The FT-4X concept model, intended for riding for urban adventure. Toyota does not want to miss the "crossover boom" moment, which is Toyota's second offering in the compact crossover segment, after C-HR. In comparison, TJ Cruiser will offer off-road capabilities.

Toyota said that if they are currently waiting and monitoring the reaction of the FT-4X, as a basis for whether the product is ready for production. The new crossover will also use Toyota's TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) C-Platform, as it has been used on Prius and C-HR.
Previously, rumors were circulating that it would be called the FJ Cruiser, but that would surely collide with FJ fans, so it makes sense if it's a bit slipped into a TJ Cruiser. Design version of production, is expected to be softened from the concept is very sharp and aggressive.
