Toyota Harrier Facelift : With Turbo?


Tokyo - Toyota Harrier seems to be getting a refresher that is claimed to go on sale later this month. Based on the Sanko Auto car sales page, there will be a significant addition to the engine, which is the choice of engine with turbo.

This new engine is a 2,000-cc turbo 4AR-FTS 4-cylinder type. The heart will join the previous engine options, namely 3ZR-FAE 2,000 cc Naturaly Aspirated and 2AR-FXE 2,500 cc Atkinson (used on Harrier Hybrid).

Machines with turbo capable of issuing power 232 tk @ 5,200-5,800 rpm. While the peak torque reaches 350 Nm @ 1650-4.400 rpm. Then, the engine is connected with a 6-speed automoatis transmission.

On the other hand, 3ZR-FAE engine type still has advantages, namely a more sophisticated transmission, Super CVT-i. While the Harrier Hybrid paired with e-CVT transmission.

On the Japanese website it also noted that the variant turbo engine will get LED headlights, 18-inch alloy rim, damper performance, up to the suede / leather coated with a combination of black and red.

All variants will get Toyota Safety Sense P technology, including collision prevention systems with other cars and pedestrians. There is also a dynamic radar cruise control and lane departure alert, plus a steering controller function.
