Range Rover Evoque will Assembled in China

London - Range Rover Evoque will be the first model of the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) was first assembled in China. This decision was confirmed directly by Ralf Speth, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JLR in London, England, as reported Autonews Europe (09/12/2014).

"We started with the biggest vehicle demand," said Speth. The company has also set up the model further, the Land Rover Discovery Sport following the Evoque will be produced.

Evoque will be assembled at the Changshu plant, northeast of Shanghai. This facility is the result of cooperation with local companies JLR is ready Chery Automobile unveiled next October. First production certainly follow in the near future.

"We started the first models. Staff training should be done first and accelerate their performance," said Speth.

The plant became the first full JLR assembly facility outside the UK, including the establishment plan of the engine assembly with the target production start 2015 this engine plant will produce new heart pacemaker, Ingenium four-cylinder.

Until now, China is the fastest growing market for JLR. January to June 2014, JLR has managed to sell 62,479 units in China, or contributed 25.9 percent to the global performance of 240 372 units.
