Korean Electric Cars More Expensive than Nissan Leaf

Irvine - Kia Motors Soul finally began marketing pure electric (EV) from the spring of this year with a tag of 33,700 dollars . This price is more expensive around 5,000 dollars than any other pure electric car, the Nissan Leaf.

Soul EV, the first electric car of Hyundai Motor Group as well as a new history for the South Korean carmaker it. With no price tag, then the consumer can buy a compact SUV with a price of 27,000 dollars , after enjoying a piece of direct incentives 7,500 dollars  from the United States government.

Although more expensive, remains optimistic that the Kia Soul EV capable well received by American consumers, either because they offer the SUV genre and claims to offer a better design than the competitors.

Soul Technology EV can travel a distance of 93 miles (149.6 km) full battery charge more than the Leaf is only 84 miles (135.1 km). Kia also equip this car with a new chassis structure artificial HVAC Hyundai Group.

"We make sure the Soul EV has more advantages," said Michael Sprague, Vice President of Promotion Offers and Kia Motors America in its official statement, reported by Autoblog Green (11/09/2014).

In the United States, Kia Soul will be the concentration of the EV market in California which was prepared as a city center emission-free vehicles. Kia Soul also rolling EV rental program with a minimum of 35 months at a cost of 249 dollars per month plus the cost of 1,999 dollars maturing. But, this new service will be rolled out when the Soul EV already on sale in the United States.
