Newest Nissan Fairlady With "Heart" of Mercedes-Benz
Sydney- The next generation Nissan 370Z, also known Fairlady Z Z34 will be marketed globally, coverage extends from the previous focus on Japan and the United States.
Australian Media, Motoring, Friday (08/08/2014), explains some additional details obtained from internal sources. Described, the next generation will be known as the Z35, which adopts an open version of the Targa roof (hard roof that can be folded automatically). This is why Nissan decided roadster is no longer manufactured. Coupe variant will appear more aggressive than ever.
Following the global trend of more environmentally friendly, the Z35 has a hybrid variant. The electric motor will accompany the new gasoline engine, 4-cylinder, 2.0L, turbocharged, powered 214 PS, the same kind with Skyline 200GT-t which is a rebadge version of the Infiniti Q50. So, the Z35 uses a concoction of Mercedes-Benz engines.
The top version called the Z35 uses a 6-cylinder petrol engine, a 3.0L turbo which also comes from Mercedes-Benz. But modified to give off power 408 PS. Interestingly, it is also a hybrid version, but no further explanation.
Z35 is planned to be marketed in 2016, but before that concept version of the model will take the floor at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2015.
