Nissan Almera, Hatchback To Compete VW Golf
Japan - Nissan will start producing the reported five-door hatchback to rival Golf in Barcelona, Spain, July 2014. Vehicle was probably named Almera with a blend of the two forms of Nissan models.
The figure of the new hatchback is influenced by the design of the Nissan Rogue, 2014 (in the U.S. is sold as the Nissan X-Trail) and the new Qashqai. It will be apparent from the design of the angled lights, shiny V-shaped grille and horizontal taillights.
The Almera will offer two engine options, namely the four-cylinder gasoline engine and diesel, including 1.2L and 1.5L economical engine. Power will be channeled to the front wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic.
"We do not just become a brand crossover. Almera We can make work. Obtain it was not easy and fast., But, Qashgai has given us time," said Shiro Nakamura, Nissan's head of design to Autocar.
