Plessey Semiconductor, Technology of Anti Sleepy Seat

Many people who sometimes have to impose the condition to drive a car vehicles principally, though in a state of drowsiness. This is certainly very dangerous, not only for the riders themselves, but also for other motorists on the highway.

Based on this, Plessey Semiconductor is a technology invented in the vehicle seat. Seat contained therein sort of sensor that can read the average heart rate, breathing and some signs are usually owned pengedara attacked by sleepiness.

Function is of course to keep the driver to stay awake, if the signs of sleepiness attacking rider. The way it works is also quite innovative, because the seat is connected or integrated with the cruise control and lane keeping systems car when driving on the highway or commonly known as lane keeping.

Although not revealed in detail the function and its impact on motorists, but we can be sure there is a sensor in the back seat. Its function is to drain the electric field of the driver's body, to eliminate sleepiness. Sounds a little scary? possible. But this seat tech developer asserts that the function is very user friendly and will not make the rider be in pain due to electric shock.

"Plessey has been demonstrated reading heartbeat rhythm, can be done by a sensor located in the back seat. Now we live to improve its performance so that the sensor can capture data from the RIL driver. Upholstery materials will also be very influential, as an introduction to electrical electrode. So there will be some parts are integrated in this car, "said Prof.. Tilak Dias from Nottingham Trent University.

Plessey parties themselves intentionally in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University in terms of development. Because it requires an expert to extract all about electrophysiology in the manufacture of innovative seats.

They say they will work with some of the car manufacturing, for use in the high end segment. Of course the reason that must be integrated with multiple technologies such as cruise control and lane keeping.
