BANGKOK - The latest generation of Toyota Fortuner camera caught testing on one of the highways in Thailand. Although cloaked in camouflage, sport utility vehicle (SUV) the Japanese still show novelty. Reported Motorbeam, Wednesday (23/07/2014) next generation Toyota Fortuner is based on the platform of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) which is also the core model of the MPV Innova and Hilux pickup. This model will also maintain a ladder-frame chassis to provide comfort and sturdy.
The chassis will be reset and get a lighter weight than previous versions to get better performance and more efficient fuel consumption.
In terms of dimensions is likely to remain the same. But the exterior design as presented will be different on the model front and rear lights, chrome grille similar to the design of the line Lexus and Land Cruiser LC200 Prado.
Meanwhile, one of the machines that will be used is a 3.0-liter D4-D diesel that is capable of producing power 171 PS. The engine will be mated with five-speed manual transmission or automatic.
