China Getting Aggressive in Compact SUV Market

Beijing - Chinese car manufacturer, Qoros, the more aggressive in the automotive market with a plan of removing the third model in the compact SUV Guangzhou Auto Show next week in China. This compact SUV will be positioned as a city car and join the sedan and hatchback models portfolios before.

Qoros SUV will target local markets of China and trying to compete in the fourth-largest vehicle segment in Europe. Because the Chinese brand also has ambitions to plunge into the global market began in 2016, one of them aiming for Europe.

"We are certainly hoping to increase the popularity of SUVs in China and other markets that could be explored such as Europe," said a spokesman for the company in Automotive News Europe (11/16/2014). This SUV will go on sale early next year.

Qoros executives declined to comment, when asked the first European markets targeted SUV is Slovakia.

Stefano Villanti, Head of Sales Qoros said last June, when the company will extend the range of markets to Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, new throughout Europe in 2016. Qoros hopes to sell more than 10 percent of all sales in Europe in the world.
