Do not underestimate Radiator's Cap

Radiator cap is the entrance gate or alias cooling water coolant into the engine ( water jacket ) . If it gets in trouble , it is not likely to interfere with the trip and the car stopped immediately .

The water in the radiator will circulate continuously to cool the working temperature of the engine . You can imagine the heat of the water in the radiator when the engine continuously ? Equivalent to the boiling water . Well, the very high pressures that may last as little as possible out of the mouth of the radiator .

If the valve is damaged rubber , per hook is weak or limp into the radiator , high-pressure water was easily able to get out of the radiator .

The escape to where? Surely the reserve tank to the reservoir alias . Reserve tank itself has a limited capacity . Damaged lid will make into a reservoir tank overfill ( fullness ) so that overflow and waste back through the exhaust hose to the asphalt .

If conditions such as these , the lack of water and radiator plain exciting water reserves of the reservoir , this time not accomplished . Because water has been wasted due to overfill . Automatic volume of water in the radiator will be reduced .

At the time of the excessive engine heat , not water circulating inside the high pressure steam engine but because of the volume was reduced . Causing pressure or steam was forced out of the mouth of the radiator when the lid is already ugly .

Understanding ugly cap most common is the pressure rate per 0.9 or 1.1 bar , which has weakened due to age wear . For some conditions , also available with a radiator pressure cap rate above 1.5 bar ( car turbo or supercharger ) .

That's why , manufacturer or an aftermarket radiator cap hi - performance radiator that kept closed with a special valve to dump pressure steam earlier .

So from now on do not consider trivial radiator cap , especially when each time a check engine in the morning , always ask for more water reservoirs 500-800 cc . Omen cap is weak !

1 ) . Close radiator valves fitted red high pressure steam to dispose of safely and quickly
2 ) . radiator cap is weak , causing the steam pressure to force out the exhaust hose or reservoir tank

3 ) . Rubber radiator cap that has a thin , broken / brittle or missing entirely pointless because the machine per still good nonetheless could not withstand the onslaught of high-pressure steam
4 ) . Reservoir tank to be filled every morning as much as 500-800 cc denotes weak radiator cap had begun to move into a reservoir of water that is wasted on the road
