TVS Patented Transmission System, Combination of CVT and FST

TVS has just received approval from the patent office in Chennai India for Hybrid Automatic Transmission (AHT). This AHT combines transmission mechanisms Fixed Speed ​​(FST) and the mechanism Continously Variable Transmission (CVT).
With AHT technology, TVS utilizing both the transmission. FST and CVT share of advantages and disadvantages when dioperaksikan so that it can be more efficient. Girbox CVT uses a belt to provide continuous variation but it prone belt slip at low speeds.
While FST only have one or a fixed transmission ratio thus can produce more power but would have been better initial acceleration of the CVT.
