Chennai -TVS Motor Company one step ahead in terms of technology. TVS is preparing the latest technology that is expected to change the map of the game in the motor industry.
TVS has just received approval from the patent office in Chennai India for Hybrid Automatic Transmission (AHT). This AHT combines transmission mechanisms Fixed Speed (FST) and the mechanism Continously Variable Transmission (CVT).
With AHT technology, TVS utilizing both the transmission. FST and CVT share of advantages and disadvantages when dioperaksikan so that it can be more efficient. Girbox CVT uses a belt to provide continuous variation but it prone belt slip at low speeds.
While FST only have one or a fixed transmission ratio thus can produce
more power but would have been better initial acceleration of the CVT.
The weakness of the FST is the time at high speed and a constant speed. The area is is the area where AHT role. The combined new system can deliver benefits.
TVS also expressed about the constraints on the design. CVT standard on two wheels can not be upgraded to the AHT system. This
is why it took the transmission system that allows the installation of
FST and will produce high transmission efficiency at various speeds.
