Hongkong - In October, Infiniti reportedly was preparing electric cars. There are two concepts that arise are LE four-door coupe and Emerg-e. Now, the brighter one of these cars would be produced.
Reported motor1, Sunday (15/01/2017) Infiniti plans to launch a high-performance electric car in 2020. The car uses the latest platform that is different from the previously existing but going to share with Nissan's battery technology.
"We wanted to create a unique and Infiniti driving experience," said CEO of Infiniti, Roland Krueger. When testing the concept car, Krueger says the car is very good.
Unlike the four-door LE share a platform with the Nissan Leaf, an electric car Infiniti is going to enter in the sports segment that could channel 400 horsepower and rear-wheel drive.
Infiniti movement to produce this electric sports car market thanks to demand from China. Infiniti in 2012 moved its headquarters to Hong Kong to widen its market share and Hongkong in 2014 beat the United States (US) as the largest market plug-in electric car.
"When I think about the electric car we designed it specifically for China. We discussed this internally when the right time for Infiniti to have such a vehicle. The electric car sport became the first list that goes to line up with the potential of electric cars commuter present in the future, "Krueger added.
