Helmet with Head Up Display

Las Vegas - BMW continues to drive the hard work developing the technology for the automotive world. Utilizing the International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, 6-9 January 2016, the German manufacturer of technology that offers the helmet with a head-up display (HUD) that is expected to enter the retail market in the coming years.

HUD is the additional display showing a variety of desired information such as speed, rpm, even traffic info through GPS. Such technology has been widely applied in cars, for example, the latest Mazda2 who already had a glass screen on the HUD to show the speed.

The challenge, recognized BMW, HUD for the helmet should not interfere with vision rider. HUD also have to replace what is shown in the instrument panel inside the helmet. The solution obtained, by placing a small glass of invisibility in front of the right eye.
Small glass is what will menjayikan variety of information that can be programmed. The details can be displayed, including tire pressure, oil, until the remaining fuel.

This helmet is integrated with the computer that processes the data, including the speaker to listen to the instructions. This technology can also be adapted with a camera on the front or rear that can record or beneficial as an additional rear-view mirror.
The overall controller is placed on the left side of the handlebar, can be installed on a wide variety of motorcycles. The components be integrated with power from a battery, can operate for five hours.
