When
introducing Turismo Veloce models 800, CEO of MV Agusta, Giovanni
Castiglioni says this bike will be the last product that uses the base
three-cylinder engine. If true, would be a shocking news, the article MV Agusta is known for machines that use a three-cylinder in most products.
Giovanni added, if the MV Agusta will focus on the development of a four-cylinder engine. It could even be the new bike with the new engine will appear at the
EICMA 2015 in Milan, the end of the year as reported by autoevolution.
One of the models that will be replaced is F4, which is a superbike models of the Italian manufacturer. This means that the motor with the new engine will have to do a re-homologation. It is done if the MV Agusta still want to participate in the World Superbike races. The same thing has been done through New Yamaha R1.
Whether this is a setback or not, the article of the Italian manufacturers known for its characteristic engine. As known Ducati L-Twin, and MV Agusta alone with the three cylinder engine.
But many are hoping, if the later is the latest model of F4 superbike with a design concept that is completely new. Not taking design models now, but with a new engine.
