Believe it or not, Ford Want to Create Parts from Tomato


Michigan - A bit strange indeed if imagine, if the parts are made from vegetables. But the idea that is now the Ford Motor Company worked with famous producers ketchup, the HJ Heinz Company.
"We are exploring whether the process of producing food products makes sense for automotive applications. Our goal creates a strong and lightweight material which meets the needs of the vehicle. The initial idea, researching tomato fiber to be developed into a composite material that can be used in vehicle assembly. This could be events, examples already exist, dried tomato skin can be made into a cable tie, a coin storage or other items which are mostly made of plastic.
