Paris - Motorcycles can take advantage of hybrid technology that combines the engine and electric motor. Furion Motorcycles, a French manufacturer developing a new concept, a motorcycle that combines Wankel's rotary engine with an electric motor.
"A combination of original motifs with unusual sound locks, musical pieces from two rotor machines," said designer Marc Evenisse as quoted by Ride Apart.
Claimed, Furion's hybrid motor offers fuel efficiency solutions. With 16 liters of fuel, the hybrid motor is targeted to reach up to 400 km.
Hybrid system on the motor that is being developed uses the efficiency of electric power that provides benefits in urban areas. Moreover, the hybrid motor is also claimed to be more environmentally friendly.
There are two driving modes that will be present in this French-made hybrid motor. The mode is a Long Range that delivers maximum fuel efficiency and Sport Mode which utilizes the full power of a combination of engine and electric motor to gain higher performance.
