Preventing Civic Turbo,Recent Corolla Toyota with Germany Taste
Tokyo - Having decided to collaborate technically, Toyota and BMW step on the gas with the development of Supra and Z5. The latest, emerging new issues stating that BMW ready to supply latest generation Corolla engine.
This news spread via local media in Japan lately. Not called reason and purpose, but it could be, do not want to lose market Toyota Corolla from hand Honda Civic Turbo that is currently on the rise worldwide.
BMW may supply engines for the Corolla packages the latest generation (currently facelift edition) in 2018 later. It was also reported that the Platforma will use TNGA also used Toyota CH-R and Prius.
It is estimated, machine-made BMW would complete the top variant Corolla. Specifications have not been determined, but most likely engine options can remain at 2,000 cc, but had used the turbo.
We did not see the next Corolla until 2018, so Toyota has plenty of time to figure out which machine is best suited borrowed.
Indeed, the BMW-engined Corolla sound strange. But it's not impossible. The Munich-based company that once supplied the engine for the Lincoln Continental and Mark VII coupe in the mid-1980s in an effort to fend off competition from Mercedes-Benz.
