Yamaha R1 Have "Low Budget" Varian

California - Yamaha R1 launch a more affordable price. The model appears on the website Yamaha United States (US) and is called by the name of the YZF-R1S. This is the answer to the mystery of the name patented in April last year, which calls for R1M and R1S other than "original" R1.

After appearing in the patenting name, R1S also registered with the agency that handles US emissions (CARB) a few months later. No one can guess at the time, until today it is known that R1S be part of a diversified model of Yamaha's fastest production version.
Then, why is it called a cheap version? Yamaha "simplify" the various components. The result did not reduce performance significantly, but tolerable add weight.

R1S have conecting rod (conrod) and header exhaust pipes of steel, while R1 and R1M wear titanium. Rims and engine cover made of aluminum, while the more expensive versions use magnesium. As a result, heavier weights 4 kg.

Other specifications are not installed quick-shifter features (smoothing gearshift), but with a sophisticated traction control inertial measurement unit (IMU) remained included.
IMU is an electronic device that can analyze the position of the motorcycle, orientation, tilt, pressure gravity, using accelerometers and gyroscopes and magnetometers.
In the US, R1S priced at 14,990 US dollars or less 2,000 US dollars than R1.
