Mazda Prepare Successor of Mazda RX-8

Hiroshima - Mazda is preparing a replacement Mazda RX-8 sports car that uses a rotary engine, but powered by an electric motor.

The new version of Mazda's legendary rotary engine will be paired with an electric motor to produce a high-performance, yet fuel efficient and have lower exhaust emissions.

Rumors previously mentioned, Mazda will re-awaken the Mazda RX-7 given less successful sale of the RX-8, as reported by WhatCar.

This news is a rumor support it because it is also mentioned that Mazda will re-use platform with a two-door rear-wheel drive, four doors and leaving like in the RX-8.

It can be a mysterious car rivals the BMW i8 and reportedly will be marketed prior to 2018, in compliance with the new zero emission regulations in California that became the largest automobile market in the world.
