Honda introduced a race car that will be used in the event the FIA WTCC ( World Touring Car Championship ) in 2014 . Civic type car is modified according to the 2014 FIA technical regulations .
The technical changes contained in the wheel arch extensions , larger diameter wheels , aero package and rear spoiler that looks elongated .
The changes are believed to make a race car engine performance engine capacity of 1.6 liter i - VTEC 4 -cylinder direct injection turbo-charged equipped with these increases .
In the event the WTCC in 2014 , Honda will be down to three teams . The first team is under the banner of the manufacturer with Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago racer Montiero .
