Do not Fully Believe in Rear Camera!

IIHS
A test conducted Insurance Institute of Highway Safety ( IIHS ) has proved use of cameras monitoring the condition of the back is much more effective than the parking sensors .They asked 111 volunteers to make reverse parking a vehicle on the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ empty parking lot in Los Angeles , then they put a mock -sized baby doll in the rear of the vehicle .They are relying less rear cameras that the doll clone , although the figure is still very high at 56 % of the clone doll .However, when compared with using only parking sensors , only 1 of the 16 drivers who managed to avoid the artificial doll , which means almost entirely failed.IIHS research scientist , David Kidd estimated that the parking sensors would be more useful if they have a greater range so that they present an early warning to the driver .IIHS also found that , when the shadow puppet mock gentleness , almost all drivers who see manabraknya screen .From the results of this experiment , we learn that the success behind the camera is also very dependent on lighting and weather conditions . Therefore, looking back is still necessary to minimize the risk of collision .
