Do not Replace the Brake Pad/Brake Shoe at the Same Time

There may be among the readers who have felt the vehicle brakes become less bite even after doing the replacement of worn brake parts with new ones . Actual events are very reasonable .
Vehicles that have traveled thousands of kilometers usually surface disc / disc brake has been shaped grooves regularly . This is due to excessive wear in certain spots due to dirt or dust that come wedged between the frictional field .This applies also to devices that generally use the rear brake drum models / drums .
When the brake pad or brake shoe is replaced with a new one , the grooves on the disc or drum to make the field of friction becomes imperfect due to the gaps formed by the grooves so that the braking performance was slumped dramatically .
This condition will gradually improve in a matter of days or weeks after the second component is the brake pads rub against the brake disc or drum shoe to adapt each form .Groove which forms a bulge in the disc and drum areas eroded by friction brake pad / brake shoe , along with changing the brake pads and brake surface of the new shoe that follows the contours of the field are rubbed by them .

Ideally , before replacing the brake pads , check the flatness of the surface of the disc / drum . If the flow is too extreme wear , should align with a lathe with a note : the thickness of the discs / drums are still within tolerable limits . If you cross the line , you should replace it with a new disc for the safety of your own .
Vehicle so that you do not lose braking power drastically , you should not replace the brake shoe / brake pad at the same time . Perform replace on one wheel only, for example on the front wheel or rear wheel first.
Once the brake performance returns to normal , you should do a brake replacement on the other axle .The goal , if we replace the front brake just come down performance , there remains at least the rear brakes are still functioning perfectly or vice versa so that the vehicle does not completely lose stopping power on all four wheels .
This applies also to the two-wheeled vehicles .
