Sensing Automatic Brake Technology in Mazda 6

One key to safe driving is a braking system that serves to reduce vehicle speed. Mazda Motor show off the sophistication of the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS), belongs to the Mazda6 sedan, which could help the braking in the demonstration session on the sidelines of a media test drive.

An accident between a car from behind while pass-traffic is common, Mazda revealed that the incident occurred at 60 percent below the speed of 30 kph. SBCS is a feature that can be useful to avoid such things, help the driver avoid the collision front.

Product Planning and Marketing Mazda Motor, said SCBS will work at the speed of 4-30 kph. If it is not turned off (from one of the modes in the instrument cluster), SBSC function is always active. Detection system works automatically from infrared-based sensors that are in the glass, in the middle of the rear view mirror.

When tested, the car drove toward the rear obstacle likened the car, on the condition that the driver should not hit the brakes to stop. Evidently, after the sensor to calculate and make decisions, the brake will be active approximately one meter of the barrier object. Cars "forced" perfect stop but will resume running after four seconds.
Detected object is approximately higher than the hood, there is a possibility that under it unreadable.

we prove himself on the way, When creeping in congestion, a motorcycle decided to suddenly cross in front of the car. SBCS was surprised because it was reading the movement as a potentially hazardous object, then the car was braked himself.
