Melted Wires, Yamaha Recall R-1
Delhi - Yamaha Motor Company Limited , through its subsidiary in India conducted a campaign of mass improvement ( recall ) of the YZF - R1 . Cause, electrical wiring headlights could heat until melted . That triggered a short circuit in India Yamaha 's flagship model .
The problem suspected in motorcycle production in October 2008 until August 2013 . In addition to R1 , Yamaha also do a global recall XT1200Z Super Tenere models for the same problem .
Yamaha sure , they will soon replace the problematic components . They also have contact consumers who allegedly got the bike the problem. Yamaha urged them not to start the engine until the part is replaced cables .
R1 owners can also directly check whether his beloved motorbike included in the recall list by visiting the official website of Yamaha India . Just enter the chassis number , so that identification can be immediately known . Yamaha will not say how many numbers R1 definitely problematic in India , but considering the population is still limited , just say two -digit numbers.
