Mitsubishi Mirage Sedan Made in Philippines


Santa Rosa - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced, began producing sedans in the Philippines, the Mirage G4 (Attrage for in some other markets). Production takes place at car assembly plants belonging to Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC).
At Monday (20/02/2017), Mirage Mitsubishi G4 is the first model produced under the program of the Philippine government, Automotive Resurgence Comprehensive Strategy (CARS). MMPC factory in Santa Rosa, Laguna Province, has an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles.
In May of this year, the model Mirage (hatchback), will follow the Mirage G4 (Attrage) into the production line. In the Philippine market, Mitsubishi sold both with the same first name.
This sedan 1.2L engine wear DOC 12-Valve-system technology Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control system (MIVEC), which is claimed to provide the fuel efficiency of up to 21 kilometers per liter. Mirage G4, available with two choices of transmissions, manual (MT) and 5-speed automatic transmission (CVT).
MMPC started actively producing in 1964, where in 2009, and then in May 2016, became the first automotive company in the Philippines, which respectively reached a cumulative production volume of 500,000 units and 600,000 units of cars. MMC posted sales of 59 480 units, contributing 15.3 percent to the total market, in calendar year 2016,
The achievement was increased by 12.9 percent, when compared with the previous year in 2015. Total sales volume in 2016, is also recorded as the highest sales in ten years in a row.
