Next Year, Audi Powered by CarPlay

Following up on a plan that will support CarPlay in its automobiles starting in 2015, Audi has provided more details about the launch. According to the German luxury car manufacturer, support iOS CarPlay will arrive at a model for Europe in 2015, while North American models implemented in 2016.

Previous Audi which has been incorporated as a member of the Open Automotive Alliance with Google and some other car manufacturer has announced it will support Android Auto on the mat Google I / O last week. In this case, the future, Audi will present two OS (Android and iOS) in every car output.

In line with this, an Audi executive, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg also said that cars made ​​by Audi will not only support CarPlay applications, but also Android Auto released by Google.

CarPlay Audi will be integrated built-in controls, including the Audi MMI touch system which is innovative, as well as the control dial and voice control to activate Siri with ease. This gives the rider Audi various ways to minimize disruption on the road while accessing the iPhone such as making calls, use Maps, listen to music and send or receive messages.

Ferrari, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Volvo cars CarPlay held this year, while other companies such as BMW, Ford, and Toyota has not announced a specific launch time frame.
